Introduction: Sterile bandage is regarded as a part of standard procedure in surgical wound treatment. Mild tissue hypoperfusion is induced once a summative pressure of bandage and extra vascular fluids and the vacuum drainage exceeds 12 millimeters of mercury.
More serious syndrome of interfascial hypertension accompanied by capillary collapse is imminent when the pressure approaches 25 millimeters of mercury.
Methods: The authors refer to favourable influence of suitable bandage with the mild compression and the interfascial pressure monitoring to the wound healing.
Results: Contemplated contribution of interfascial pressure measurement is seen in decrease number of wound healing failures in extensive neck surgery.
