Objective: Poland's syndrome is a rare congenital entity characterized by unilateral partial or total hypoplasia of pectoralis major muscle, breast and/or ipsilateral hand abnormalities. It has been reported in literature in association with various structural and functional abnormalities
Methods: We report here a case of a 23-year-old male with Poland’s syndrome who presented in our outpatient clinic with the history of two undocumented spontaneus anterior shoulder dislocations and self-reductions. Physical exam showed instability of the right shoulder, and the MRI scans demonstrated a Bankart lesion. The patient has been treated with an arthroscopic Bankart repear; reattachment of the deatached antero-inferior labrum down to the glenoid and repairing of the inferior gleno-humeral ligament complex
Results and conclusions: To our knowledge this is a first case report of the patient presenting with spontaneus anterior shoulder dislocations associated with Poland’s syndrome.
