49. Kongress für Allgemeinmedizin und Familienmedizin

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Allgemeinmedizin und Familienmedizin (DEGAM)

17. - 19.09.2015, Bozen, Italien

Welcome

Dear colleagues!
Dear members of the DEGAM Congress!

We are looking forward to host the DEGAM Congress 2015 in the picturesque city of Bolzano, Italy. The key issue will be “Importance of general practice: for patients, family and society”.

We are fortunate to organize this event – just like Salzburg 2011 and Munich 2013 – in cooperation with the scientific associations for general practice of South Tyrol (SÜGAM) and Austria (ÖGAM) as a tri-state congress.

Many objectives for general practice have been achieved in Germany in the past years: professorships were newly created, research projects ended successfully and the academic teaching expanded. Moreover, we have gained influence in the health policy which is an important achievement regarding the demand of young and qualified general practitioners. Of course, more ideas and concepts are expected to be developed from the departments of general practice located at the universities. At the same time, following questions appear: Why is general practice so important? What is the importance of our paradigms, such as “longitudinal continuity”, “holistic approach” and “first contact and open access”? How can we prove that our performances are helpful for patients, for families and the society? We wish to discuss these and further questions with you.

The transnational friendships, the beautiful city and the extraordinary landscape will enhance our congress additionally.

We look forward to welcoming you in Bolzano!
